Alex Albright Turning Heads

Alex Albright has been turning some heads at the Cowboys training camp.  I would love to see him make the team, but he needs to have many more head-turning days in order to make the final cuts.  The Cowboys have him listed as a LB right now, probably with the hopes that he can compete for the final OLB spot.  The Cowboys have had a revolving door of sorts for the last LB spot for some time now, so it is entirely possible that Albright walks away with the job this year, or at least gets signed to the practice squad.  Albright's main competition will be incumbent backup Brandon Williams, who has also been impressive so far.

Also, courtesy of Eagle in Atlanta, Thomas Claiborne signed with the Bucs, but I'm going to go out on a limb and say it's not a good sign that the newspapers can't even spell his name right.  I'm a little surprised that he signed with the Bucs, but at the end of the day he needs to have a chance to prove himself in front of coaches and scouts and the only way to do that is to attend training camp.

On another note, I've obviously been slacking on the posts for the past few weeks.  Long story short, my adapter/converter did not work while I was in Europe and my computer charger was subsequently fried.  In the next few weeks, look for more posts on how to improve the athletic department, thoughts on this year's recruiting class, and previews for this year's football team.  Can't wait to get back to the heights...
